As I said in the previous post Hugh and his fellow knights went to JERUSALEM and were greeted by King Baldwin, who had been appointed to oversee the protection and comfort of those from Europe that had traveled to the HOLY LANDS for the opportunity to fulfill a requirement for the wealthy by the Roman Church.
King Baldwin offered the finest place for Hugh and his fellow knights to stay; however Hugh graciously declined as he told King Baldwin they were there not to lay around in luxury but to protect the travelers. Hugh said that KING SOLOMON'S HORSE STABLES area would suit them.
